I just had a total cheat weekend….I don’t feel so good about it either. Your body gets used to you being good to it, and even minor backslides into old eating habits can wreak havoc! I had a ginormous burrito plus chips and salsa three nights in a row for dinner, followed by low fat cookies and cream ice cream for dessert. My body is over this! I haven’t slept too well, either, so my inhibitions regarding food have been low. I also just completed 4 days of work in a row. Time for a Tuesday off!!!!
Tomorrow, I am going to do some healthy cooking and hopefully my eight-mile long run I have put off since Saturday. My stressing out over my injury plus my lack of motivation to get my ass out of bed has been enough to keep me from doing it for the last three days. I think I’ll feel more like myself again once I get a good run in.
Has anyone else gone through this? Do you find yourself being good and eating really clean, then all of the sudden, you just break down and eat shit (you know what I mean!) for a few days? Even though I got chicken burritos with whole wheat tortillas, it was still not as good for me as what I have been eating. Plus, going through almost a whole bag of Baked Doritos in three days can’t be good either.
Has anyone done a one day juice cleanse? Does it really cleanse? I mean seriously….I have heard people say it’s good for you, but it just seems like deprivation to me. Let me know your experiences!!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Happy Trails and Cheers to Clean and Healthy Eats!

You should try my whole food 7 day cleanse April 29-May 5. No starvation, just real and delicious food!
Hang in there Stacy and remember that a few nights of bad choices won’t undo months of hard work! I think we all have those slip ups and even if we don’t make as bad of a choice as in previous lives those less than stellar choices can leave us feeling no bueno. I indluged in a homemade cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza last night which is a better option than a pepperoni Domino’s pizza I induldged in more than I should and my stomach was immediately distended and my head felt off like what in the world did you just do to your body.
I am back on track today – focusing on clean, wholesome foods this weekend and debating doing a Shakeology cleanse next week.
