Happy Friday my wonderful and amazing readers!! Today is giveaway day at Pugmamastace! Why? Because I love you. All of you! Thanks for stopping by, and check out the details below if you would like a chance to win!
If you live in the Phoenix metro area and are a runner, chances are you have heard of or even been to Sole Sports. Sole Sports is a locally owned running company with three locations: Tempe, Scottsdale and Glendale. They are amazing you guys. If you haven't been, then you definitely need to head over there! They are super involved in the local running and racing community. They have group runs on almost every day of the week (depending on the store location) that are free of charge. Everyone that works there is a runner, and trained to analyze your gait and fit you with the perfect shoe. You won't find better, more personalized service anywhere. Promise :-).
“Sole Sports is dedicated to increasing your enjoyment of running and walking. We offer a wide variety of shoes and running products and have the expertise to outfit you in the right gear. Whether you're an elite runner or just getting started, we'd love to offer our assistance. We're at your service for all things running, not just products to sell. So stop in for a visit and experience what friendly service is all about.”
Not only are they well known around Phoenix, they were also named one of the Very Best Running Stores in America for 2013 by Competitor Magazine! Check out their feature on Competitor's website!
In honor of their awesome achievement, Sweaty Bands designed and sent them these adorable headbands!
What I like about them besides how cute they are is that they are lined with a velvet material, so they do not slip. I gave up on headbands a long time ago, because whenever I would stretch my neck or move around too much, they would slip off! These were introduced to me a few years ago, and they had a promise of not slipping. I decided to give headbands one last try, and low and behold, they stayed! They also don't cause headaches like a lot of the plastic ones do when they fit too tightly. They're a winner in my book all around! I have a hanger full of them in my closet, and I wear them regularly.
Who wants one!? My super amazing friend Karen from Sole Sports has given me one to give away to my readers! It is exactly like the one in the pictures above. I am going to open the giveaway with this post, and it will run for a week. Thursday January 30th at midnight, the entry period will close and I will use a random number generator to decide the winner.
All you have to do to enter is to “like” Pugmamastace and Sole Sports on Facebook if you don't already, and leave me a comment below telling me you did, and your favorite kind of headband you like to wear when you run! If you don't wear headbands, that's ok! Tell me what you do to tame your mane while you're working up a sweat. By all means, male readers, if you want to enter, go right ahead!! :-).
I will announce the winner on Friday January 31st! Ready, set, go!
Happy Trails!
Stacey
Hi there. I love them! What a great idea and I totally agree about SS. I have been doing their group runs since they opened and a huge fan of Lance and Karen and all they do for the community.
Did you know the group runners have a program where every month we do a volunteer function in the name of SS? It’s great to give back in a small way.
I would love to try your headband, but I must admit, they never stay in my hair! I must have a crocked head…….
Great to “meet” you!

Thanks so much for stopping by Kim! That’s really cool, I didn’t know you guys did that. I’ll have to check it out next time. Have you tried the headbands with the velvet lining?
I already Liked both. If I wear a headband it is from Lulu.
Yay! Thanks for stopping by girl! I like lulu’s as well. Maybe you’ll really like this one if you win! ๐
I haven’t given these headbands a try. I feel I am the same as you, I have given up in trying to find a headband that stays on my head! I usually throw on a visor instead.
Thanks for stopping by Rachel!! I like visors, as well. ๐
I usually have to use clips to keep my headbands in place, so hats are mush easier. I would love to try a sweaty band and be able to do more with my hair when I workout! Thank you for the chance!
Thanks for stopping by Jenna! I hope you get to try it! I know you’ll love them ๐
Liked both pages with So What? I run. and gave you a personal like too ๐ I typically wear my hair in a ponytail with a hat ๐
Thanks so much, Sandy!! Glad you stopped by ๐
I have liked both – although I’ve liked Sole Sports since they opened the store in Glendale. I rarely miss a group run – the friends I have made there are responsible for me completing my first marathon in Dec.
My hair used to be longer and was always in a pony tail along with a visor when it’s sunny when I ran – now it’s shorter and I always have to wear a visor cause nothing keeps my hair back.
A Sole Sports Sweaty Band would be awesome (I haven’t seen any in the Glendale store)
That’s so cool about your marathon!! Which one was it?? How short is your hair? I have a friend that wears her hair in little tiny pig tails whenever she runs and throws on a visor. It’s so cute!
Hi! I love SS! I live in Chandler but visit their Scottsdale store from time to time. I ran a 5k my school where I teach held there last September ๐
I just started using headbands recently–a bondiband. It’s definitely taking some getting used to but they’re cute!
I liked both pages (had already liked SS)

Thanks for stopping by Angelica! Looking forward to coffee soon!!
It’s so hard to find something that will stay on my head AND be comfortable! I usually go with a hat for those reasons. ๐
These headbands are definitely comfy!! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’re doing well!
I was in Phoenix in December & I went to two Sole Sport stores in order to find my Nathan Vapor Wrap. I remember getting help from Emmett. I think I may have had a mini crush on him at the time. Ha ha Anyway I use bandanas a lot for running. I have never tried headbands but would be willing to try.
That’s so funny! Emmett is awesome! Everyone there is ๐ where are you from?
I have the same problem as you, Stace, with the headbands, I love the look but they never stay on or they hurt. I always opt for the messy bun look and I really think that’s old and tired, I LOVE my long hair and want to show it off but it either gets in my face, mouth, eyes or tangles like crazy!! I need a hair makeover LOL!!

p.s. I liked everything I was ‘sposed to! ๐
Yay!! Thanks!
