This past weekend I told Steph that I HAD to get out of the house and go do something! I was going bat shit stir crazy. Too tired to study, but not tired enough to sleep all day, so I just slept on and off and watched movies. Bedridden and “crippled” really isn't my style, so Friday night, we went to Salt Creek Grille in Dana Point and had dinner. I rocked my compression hose like it was nobody's business:
The ambiance was so nice and relaxing, I really enjoyed it. The food was great, too! Look at my Chilean Sea Bass:
Steph had a burger, and only ate half since it was ginormous!
Then I saw the words “Butterscotch” and “Custard” and decided that although 99 out of 100 times I dine out I don't order dessert, we were going to order dessert! Check it:
Busted! And I don't care ;-).
Needless to say, we enjoyed ourselves!
We went home, and I got back into bed to rest.
Then had a “photo booth” session with Majic :-).
Saturday, we went over to Steph's Mom and Dad's house to have fish tacos. They were ridiculous. I had four of them. Does having surgery/being on anesthesia make you more hungry for like the next week? I hope so, otherwise, I don't know what my problem is!
We had so much fun and it was great to see them! That's Lynn on the left that took me to and from my surgery, and will be taking me to and from my post-op appt tomorrow. Thanks again so much Lynn!
Sunday, Steph and I went to lunch at a sushi place at the Irvine Spectrum. It started with an “I” but I forget what it was called. It wasn't bad….our waiter was awesome, though! Here's the udon noodle soup we split:
Then I got hungry again:
I'm tellin' y'all, I need to heal fast so I can start running off the shit (the yummy shit) I've been eating too much of since my surgery! See, there's more:
Coffee FroYo and whipped cream on these cinnamon-cardamom-chai flavored hollow pastry things that Steph's Dad brought back from overseas. Ri-dic. I still don't remember what they were called, although Lynn did show me the package to help clear up my confusion ( in Arabic lol-thx for the clarification! )
Then I took a stuffed Pelfie for Instagram.
I miss my Ali!!!
There are no words……:-).
I studied at a coffee shop today and brought home Golden Spoon. FroYo makes me so happy.
Tried to ice myself with my VascuTherm, then it decided to self destruct and start beeping uncontrollably until I had to turn it off. Not good when you want to throw a device out the window that you don't actually own. They're coming to replace it tomorrow.
Now I'm freezing and can hardly feel my fingers. Ok, I'm going to curl up with my sis and watch Dallas Buyers Club. Did anyone else love Matthew's acceptance speach?? I just watched it again. Awesome. Amen, and alright alright alright……
