My Commitment to My Business and My Life #GR15

I have taken (almost) the last three days to listen to and watch the live stream from the Nerium Get Real 2015 conference in San Jose, CA. The ONLY reason why I am not there is because I am still on crutches, and it would be an absolute nightmare for myself and everyone around me. (I actually know this from personal experience. Trust me, I would be there if I could!) I have learned about SO many new things this company has in store for us and to bring to our customers. It. Is. Unreal. I’m not sure why God brought this opportunity into my life, but I never had plans for anything like this in the past. It has changed me. It has changed my outlook, my paradigm, my motivation, and my drive to grow as an entrepreneur. I’ve worked for a large corporate company now for over 16 years, and have never had this kind of experience because a lot of it is done for us. (I have no plans on stopping my career with them either, FTR. The beauty of this business is that I don’t have to! Eventually, I could “retire” if I get to NMD and beyond, but I love being in the medical field, so I don’t want to stop practicing!)

One thing I did not expect from getting involved with Nerium was the personal development opportunities that are now at my fingertips. With my Premier Success Pack starter kit, they included a Success Planner with CD’s to listen to. Let me be real with you guys right now. I started listening to one, and never listened again after the first 20 minutes. I did do most of the things in my new brand partner training, though. I learned how to do the business quickly, then I jumped right into it. I started spreading the word and sampling product with my friends and family right away. Now I have been successful so far, don’t get me wrong! However, I want to be more engaged and consistent in my business, and take advantage of the benefits that have been freely given to me.

I watched our two Gold Star International Marketing Directors, Mark and Tammy Smith talk about the 10 Core Commitments that are the cornerstone of success in this business. Jeff Olson came up with this concept, and he also wrote The Slight Edge. I have read….(I’m grabbing it right now to check what page I’m on)…..17 pages. I am committing to reading at LEAST 10 pages a day of The Slight Edge until I am done with it. What I have read so far has been awesome! Now I just need to put my nose to the grindstone.

The Slight Edge

Another really cool thing I want to share with you guys is my new planner! I got it from Plum Paper on Etsy. It’s the Family Planner, and it is customizable! So I have a planner for my little family, Ali and I :-). I was able to make my own categories, which include My Blog, My YouTube Channel, Nerium, Fitness, and Meals.

IMG 6217

I am a huge planner, and am the most successful and organized when I write things down and plan my days out. That’s what I want to start doing more of! That’s another commitment I am going to make: planning my week and sticking to it! By planning and sticking to that plan, I am going to be able to spend more quality time building my business and making personal growth happen. I have kind of an ADHD tendency to start something, get distracted, get engaged in something else, then see something else, click on the link, read it, grab a snack, end up sucked into Facebook, have 10 different tabs open in my browser, and end up getting nothing done. Can anyone relate? Maybe EHT will help me with this ;-). I’m honestly really looking forward to finding that out!! Moving on……

So my commitment to my business and my life is consistency, personal growth, and planning. I am going to put myself through the new Brand Partner training that we have now been given. I am going to read The Slight Edge cover to cover. I am going to do the 10 Core Commitments *consistently* and efficiently. I am going to take the time to plan out my week, follow through with those plans, and as a result, meet my goals. These things are part of a marathon, and not a sprint. I have learned over the past two years through all of my surgeries and setbacks that you have to have patience and persistence. You have to focus on small things, and do them consistently. This concept allows these things to be done in just a small amount of time everyday. ANYONE can do this! If you’re on my team, I am here for you and will walk this journey with you every step of the way. Another beautiful thing about this company is I get to help people get to where I am and be successful. It’s not just about my business, it’s about my team and their lives, families, and what they get to do with their time. If you’re not on my team, I hope you got something out of this post. If you take away just one tidbit from all of this, let it be that you should make a commitment to yourself. Continue to grow as a person. Don’t be complacent. Always set goals. Be consistent. Ok, so maybe not just one thing! But they all tie together into committing to yourself. It’s up to you to do this, YOU are the only person that can make yourself succeed or fail. Do something for YOU today!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’d be happy to answer any questions you have! Just comment below. I hope you guys all have an awesome rest of your weekend, and commit some time to YOU!

Happy Trails,

Stacey

Nerium Expands to Anti-Aging for the Brain

No. My blog has not been hijacked, and it is not April Fools Day. I am not blowing smoke up your asses. This is real. I’m a huge nerd, and love science-y things, so this is right up my alley!

I watched/listened to the Live Stream from Nerium’s Get Real 2015 conference in San Jose all day yesterday (Thursday) in anticipation of this announcement. We were told that it would not only impact the anti-aging market, but also the medical field. I couldn’t for the life of me put my finger on exactly what I thought it was going to be. I thought of everything from a device to some sort of mask to be applied. It turns out, Nerium has partnered up with Signum Biosciences and a research team based out of Princeton (yes-THE Princeton in Princeton, NJ) University, and been given the exclusive global rights to the patented product called EHT. In layman’s terms, this molecule helps to prevent neuronal breakdown in the brain. That’s the very basic concept of it.

EHT is an acronym for the molecule name Eicosanoyl-5-hydroxytryptamide. It is a molecule naturally found in coffee beans. (I knew I loved coffee!) It was discovered by Dr. Jeffry Stock of Princeton University after 20 years of research. They laid out the exact mechanism of action for us on the slides, which I have if anyone is interested in the really nerdy (AKA awesome) part of this. Here are the benefits of the supplement:

I am going to link you guys to a website where there are two videos. Everything is explained there. Please click HERE to check it out. This product will change lives. The Michael J Fox Foundation contributed money toward the research and development of EHT. It is that unreal! The product will be available for pre-sale between May 15-June15, and won’t be available after that until September. Please contact me if you would like to get a supply while it is on pre-order, and I will add you to my list! ( pugmamastace@hotmail.com) EHT is safe for both adults and children. There is so much more I want to say about it, but I don’t want to make this post too long. Just know that I am so excited to get my hands on it and see how it helps me!!!

Nerium International still continue to amaze me. We even have a more affordable option for becoming a brand partner now! Today (Friday) there will be another huge product announcement that will be skincare. Stay tuned for more info on that!

Have an awesome weekend!!

Happy Trails,

Stacey

5th Time’s a Charm!

If you’re wondering how on earth a 32 year-old woman managed to do enough damage to have 5 orthopedic surgeries in a year, click HERE for my story. It’s long, but thorough, and will make so much sense once you read it. I just wanted to give you wonderful readers an update on how I am doing after this 5th and (God-willing) final surgery.

Any day is a better day when you throw in some Nutella gelato :-).

I told Dr Guanche about how badly my leg hurt the night of the surgery last time, so he maxed out the local dose of bupivacaine that he injected into the operative area before closing the incision. So far, so good when related to pain. Julio from SOS Medical hooked me up with the amazingly wonderful Vascutherm 2 machine that I’ve been using 24/7 for 45 minutes on and 15 minutes off. It is the best machine ever! No ice required, just a little bit of bottled water! The machine cools the water and has an automated timer, so all I do is velcro it on, and just lay here. Lie here? Grammar police, help me! Not a phrase I’ve ever been strong with.

Hilton has been wonderful! Everyone has been so nice and helpful! Thanks again so much Claudine for making this happen!!

Even with all of the sleeping and relaxing I’ve been doing, I’ve managed to stay pretty plugged in to my Nerium gig. It’s that easy and simple to do you guys! I have an amazing team now that I have the pleasure and privilege of working with, and I cannot wait to see them succeed!! I managed to find my old before pictures today, and make a new before and after side-by-side of 0 vs 6.5 months:

I’m not wearing makeup in either picture. In fact, the second picture is of me today. I’m completely exhausted and have glasses indentations on my nose, yet I still look better in it! I am more than pleased with this product, and love sharing it with everyone! Results can truly be life changing for people!

I got to watch this game today. We came back with a vengeance after halftime, and I thought we actually might win! Not so much. We play Virginia this weekend again followed by Duke/Carolina. It’s going to be a great weekend for college basketball!!

A friend tagged me in this picture on Instagram today, and I just love it!

And I mean, look at the pug sheets. I need these in my life. Ali is thinking “Mom, don’t even THINK about it…..”

Girl talk at the dog park with Minnie and Matti! Matti is more stylish than I am. Her closet rocks more than mine does. #jealous Ali continues to be a nudist.

What Mom? So I like “au natural” what’re you gonna do about it?? I’m too cute for you to care. #truestory

I just realized tonight that I have a comment on my blog, but never got an email notifying me of it. I’m going to go through and make sure I didn’t miss any comments, so if I did, my apologies!

I’m headed to do that now, and then to bed. I only have one more day here in SoCal!! I can’t wait to see my baby Friday!!! Have an awesome rest of your day guys, and I’ll ttys!!

Happy Trails!
