On the 5th day of FroYo my
true love gave to me:
Gingerbread with graham cracker crumbs and peanuts and English toffee with chocolate chips and Heath and Nutella, and a ruuu-nning injuryyyyyy.
FroYo was fantastic. I drowned my sadness in a paper cup with an orange “spoon” today.
I was on mile 6-7 of my 18 miler today when all of the sudden, I felt a sharp pain behind my right knee. My right hamstring has been tight since my Half Marathon. I have stretched it just a little, but probably not enough for the amount and intensity of my recent running. I thought it was just a weird pain that would go away, but it continued up until mile 9.25 when I stopped. Every stride I took caused it to hurt. Coach Loken agreed with me stopping and gave me some pointers that were great as always! Now, we wait and see how quickly this pain dies down. Marathon isn’t out of question yet; although it would be the smart thing to do. We’ll play it by ear.I’ll keep ya posted.
English Toffee is bomb. It’s my new fav from Orange Leaf. Get it. Also, get Salted Caramel from Zoyo. Commands from Ms.FroYo! Lol!
