I went to Home Depot the other day to get the finishing touch for my table. I found this earth toned tile that was the perfect width to fit in that groove:
I got the tile and some liquid nail stuff to glue them on. It was so easy to do! I just used a hammer with a regular screwdriver to cut the tiles for the corners.
My living room is now complete!! I am so happy with how it turned out! I never expected it to look this good. It’s so nice to have somewhere to put a drink.
I did use a polyurethane sealer on the whole table, but I still wanted to get some coasters to make sure I don’t ruin all of my hard work. Look at what I found at Ross!!! How perfect are these!! Not that I like to shop or anything….or eat cupcakes…
Speaking of cupcakes, look at these sinful things I saw on Facebook today. I think I gained 5 pounds just drooling over them! This might be something I have to try to make next spring around Easter. As long as I’m completing 18 mile long runs to train for the Derby Marathon, I’ll be fine .
I got another handy little thing at Ross today. It’s a little strainer that is the perfect size for washing off a snack of fruit!
Speaking of fruit, I saw these cherries at Safeway. They were recommended to me by a friend, and they are SO GOOD! They are a little expensive, though, but I don’t think they’re in season for very long. I’m going to enjoy them while they are!
I had a kickass salad today with romaine, baby spinach, seasoned grilled flank steak, artichoke, black olives, quinoa and sun dried tomatoes. Apparently, Ali thought it was kickass as well, because her little mug was all up in my grill begging for some. I told her it was my steak! She got doggie FroYo today anyway….still hard to say no to that face!
The salad was a late lunch, so I had a huge plate of fruit with honey non-fat Greek yogurt as a dip for dinner. I kinda cheated on my gluten free a little bit today. I had a Skinny Cow chocolate peanut butter ice cream sandwich. Oh well, I’ve done so well so far that I’m not going to be too hard on myself. It was SO yummy!
I am kitty sitting for my neighbors this week. This is Tobi! He is a sweetheart!
He loves belly rubs and playing with his Hotwheels car
I went to Ross to get a few things, and to test out my legs to see how long it would take for them to start hurting. I have improved a little bit. I didn’t start to have pain until 35-40 minutes into walking around. By one hour, I was done. Still a long way from ready to stand for 12 hours, but this is progress kids! Woo hoo!
I am going to bed early tonight because I’m feeling 32….
Have an awesome Friday! Don’t forget-do not leave your pets in the car, and use extreme caution in this heat!
Happy Trails!
Stacey
