Crazy Stupid Good

April 20, 2014

This go-around, surgery was twice as easy and recovery has been twice as good! I wonder if it's the fact that he removed less scar tissue on my left than my right, or just that I knew exactly what to expect and I'm an old pro? Either way, I'm grateful for the smooth, stress-free experience I've had with round two.

Look at the Edible Arrangements bouquet Abbey got me!? She knows me SO well :-). Her card was absolutely perfect, too:

That's exactly what I want to do!

I've held it together pretty well considering everything that has gone on over the past year, but I have had my moments. One of those was last night. I came to the hard realization that the KDF half/full marathon were both this weekend. That means that it has been 51 weeks since I've run a race. Y'all know me, Miss “I have four races on my calendar this month.” Miss “I'm going to squeeze in Sally's 5K before work today, because I wouldn't miss it!” For some reason, it hit me right in the gut tonight that it's almost been a year since I stopped running. I shed a tear or two, and now I'm moving forward. I share this with you guys, because I'm human and imperfect, and quite honestly wouldn't be normal if I always held myself together. I know one thing for sure: I will not take running or my health for granted AGAIN.

Thursday night, I decided it would be a great and fun idea to do a juice cleanse from Nékter.

Choked that one down. Good mornin' sunshines.
#2 was much better!
#3 was ok. #4 much better.
Last, but not least, #5 and #6. The were good!
I do have to say, though, that I like the almond vanilla #6 way better than the cashew. It was sweeter and just overall better IMO. Oh yeah, and I totally scarfed down FroYo and low fat popcorn afterwards. What? Is that not part of the deal?
Apparently, Ali had done so much barking at what Tricia and Jeff were doing around the house that she exhausted herself! To be a dog….
This has been my weekend:
Oh, and I miss this face!
I want to wish all of my teammates and friends running Boston tomorrow an absolutely amazing race! It's been a tough road getting there for a lot of people, and a tough year for those affected by the tragedy. I'll be tracking you guys and cheering you on from California dreaming about the day when I will cross that finish line. I believe it will happen, and that's the first step :-).
#BOSTONSTRONG
Happy Trails!
Stacey

Here on the blog, I share my experiences living a healthy lifestyle, trying new products, and living the PugMom life. I also like to blog about makeup and beauty stuff, because although I’ll get dirty hiking mountains or riding my bike here in Phoenix, I’m a total girly girl!
