Back to Work, Back to Life

July 15, 2015

I started back at work last Monday, and it is going really well so far! I am SO grateful to have the job I have, and to work for a company that has taken such great care of me while I’ve been out of commission. It’s been rough, but I’ve made it back in one piece!

I also moved to Scottsdale two weeks ago, and am loving it so far! My new place is definitely  smaller, but is so cool and in such a great location! Ali even has her own little area to do her business, and sniff around investigating the evidence of other canine existence :-). (She would do that all day if she could.)

I’m working hard to try and find a good balance between work and my businesses. It’s going ok so far, but will be even better once I have a regular work schedule. I haven’t been spending much time on my blog or YouTube channel, but this will be changing if all goes according to plan. I am still setting everything up in the new place, and once it’s all done, I’ll do a tour for you! I’ll also start filming more. I miss it!!

I rode my bike to a meeting up on Scottsdale and Shea yesterday. It was 7.25 miles round trip. I felt great! The thing that hurt the most was my ass from forgetting to wear my padded shorts! I don’t think I’ll EVER forget those again! Having your hamstrings removed and put back on makes for quite the sensitive “sit bone” (ischial tuberosity) area, especially when planted on a bicycle seat for 38 minutes.

I’m seeing Sara up at the Spooner Scottsdale clinic now, and she’s so awesome! LaRissa filled her in on all of my crazy history, and I had a great visit today! She’s going to add some exercises that involve a little bit of jumping, and if I do ok on those, I might be able to try the Alter-G!!! I’m honestly scared to try it, though because it’s where I hit my wall again back in October. I know I am so much better now than I was then, but it’s still scary. I am so used to disappointment that every advancement in physical activity scares me a little. Standing at work hasn’t been bothering me at all, though, so that’s a HUGE sign of improvement!

That’s all I really have for now. It’s 11pm, and I work a 10 hour shift tomorrow starting at 9am. I’m going to watch a couple of episodes of Graceland (and my boyfriend in it) before I crash. I’ll be back hopefully sooner than later with some new recipes, posts, tutorials, and videos. You guys are awesome and I really appreciate you stopping by!! Have a great rest of your week!!

Happy Trails,

Stacey

Here on the blog, I share my experiences living a healthy lifestyle, trying new products, and living the PugMom life. I also like to blog about makeup and beauty stuff, because although I’ll get dirty hiking mountains or riding my bike here in Phoenix, I’m a total girly girl!
