Life is good!
I just recently got back from an amazing Thanksgiving in Miami visiting Mindy, her Mom, and my friend Ali from Purdue. We went on a 2 day cruise to Nassau on a brand new ship called the Carnival Breeze. The Breeze is a brand new ship, and we got to be on its inaugural voyage! It was absolutely beautiful, and we honestly didn’t get to spend enough time on it to enjoy all it had to offer. We might have to book another cruise sometime soon….Mindy?? Call me girl!
Thanksgiving morning started off with a nap and a run. I took a red-eye out of Phoenix right after work straight to Miami. I didn’t sleep very much on the plane, so a nap was a must. After the nap. I ran my very own solo Turkey Day 5K. I ran it in 28:00, which was pretty darn good for me if I do say so myself! Especially alone! The weather was beautiful! Then, we got ready and headed on down to the ship.

Time for lunch!
My friend Mia always says “eat a cheeseburger!” So I did….and it was damn good!!
Bon Voyage party!
Leaving Miami is always a huge dance party!
Buh bye Miami! See ya in a few!
Hot tub and InStyle magazine time
We went for sushi that night for dinner, and it was really good!
Loved the fork with chop sticks combo!
Miso soup
Spicy tuna and tempura shrimp rolls
Outfit change, then out for the night
Casinos can be so much fun! $100 down the toilet, and put a fork in me, lol!!
The next day, I ran for 20 minutes on the track on the ship, then got ready to go hang out in Nassau.
We hung out with a good friend of Mindy and Phyllis at Sharkey’s, then went to the beach and shopping.
The Carnival Sensation docked next to our ship in Nassau
Louisville basketball team was in Nassau at the same time we were for a tournament!
Amazing conch fritters!!
Quite the interesting energy drink!
Carnival casino crew and Mindy hanging out at the beach on their day off!
I love the beach, and the fact that I can wear a bikini while on it now!
Random horse by the port on our way back to the ship
This has already been a long post, so I’ll end it here for now. I will follow with a post wrapping up the trip and our awesome night in Ft Lauderdale and Miami Dolphins game (that they won!).
Happy Trails!
