Protesting Against Summer!

My wonderful friend Ari mentioned on Facebook recently that she was already baking pumpkin desserts, and thought part of it was preparation for fall, and part was wishful thinking. I actually made a pumpkin chai smoothie this morning for breakfast

and was thinking that my use of pumpkin was more of a protest. My friends in the Midwest are complaining that it is cold. It's still over 100* here in the Valley, and I am jealous!! I know honeycrisp apples are going to be in season soon, and I am not willing to wait to it gets cooler!! Come on Starbucks! You know that when you get Pumpkin Spice is officially when fall begins!!!

I plan to stay inside where it feels like fall, cook fall-ish things, and burn fall scented candles. So there.

Speaking of which, I am totally obsessed with this candle I got from Bath and Body Works:

It is incredible! I think I got it at the Semi-Annual sale, so I'm not sure if they have it right now. I'm hoping they get more in once it gets closer to winter. I also am still in love with this one:

It's probably one of my favorites. Whenever B&BW is having a sale on candles, I always stock up on it.

I just ordered a few mason jar candles that were on sale online from there. I got Leaves people!! Those of you who know this scent know how coveted and awesome it is. I think it sells out most quickly of all the fall scents. I got a couple of others, but I forgot what they are. I'll post pics when I get them in.

Are you guys excited for fall?? It's my favorite season! It's actually one of the best times of the year here in AZ, so it's also got that going for it. Just don't carve your pumpkin until the last possible second if you live here!! Carved pumpkins will shrivel in this heat and you'll be so sad!! I know from experience....

What's your favorite season? If its fall, what's your favorite thing about fall?? Leave me some love below and have a great Friday!!

Happy Trails!

Stacey
