Welcome to LA
I’m back in LA for what I pray is my last surgery. I’m having the surgery I had on my right leg in November on my left leg this time. This is a serious surgery, as I have come to find out. It is way more serious than my first three were, and has proven to need a much longer healing time. All I want to do is get it done and get back home. Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying my four days of freedom while I can, but I’m not excited for the trip home and the aftermath. If I didn’t need this surgery to get my body back, TRUST me, I wouldn’t be doing it. I don’t know if I’d rather know what to expect like I do now, or be going in blindly again like the last time. God bless my wonderful friend Claudine’s heart for traveling out here on Saturday to hang out with me and then take me to and from my surgery. It is because of her that I am able to do this, and I can't thank her enough! I am going to be the go-to person now if anyone ever needs rides to and from surgeries or procedures!!! If I am not working, I’ll be your person!
Anyway, so when I brought my suitcase downstairs yesterday morning and out to the garage, this is the look I got:
“Exactly what do you think you’re doing?"
I know Ali, I know. Don’t worry, Mommy will be home and planted on the couch just for you for the next 6 weeks. Be prepared to watch Scandal, Grey’s, The Bachelor (NO spoilers on Facebook people!!!) and many hours of House of Cards, too. You can have a marrow bone ;-).
So I was greeted by my husband when I got to the airport. For your viewing pleasure ONLY ladies. You’re welcome.
I decided to do some learning on my flight. Improving myself, and becoming my best self compliments of an amazing company we call Nerium? Yes, please! This book is not affiliated with Nerium other than the fact that it is written by our Founder and CEO Jeff Olson. I can already tell I am going to like it. So far the one word that sums it up for me is perseverance, which I want tattooed somewhere on my body - I’m just not sure where yet (earmuffs Mom and Dad.)
Thank God for luggage carts and nice people! My bag weighs as much as a Smart Car, and I had a little bit of trouble getting it off of the belt. Almost took out a lady in the process. Sorry again!!!
Yes yes YES!!!!! I had the lunch of champions today, sorry, not sorry. If you’ve recently started reading my blog, I have a major FroYo addiction. When I am running, I probably eat it at least 4-5 times a week. That’s the real reason why I’m having these surgeries. No running = less FroYo.
I also had to run by this place again while I was in Burbank. The brushes here are amazing quality and very reasonable! I would say they rival Sigma for sure, and could be even cheaper if not right in line with them. I’m not sure I’ll ever buy a MAC brush again to be quite honest. Not with companies like Morphe on the rise!
I am beyond exhausted, and am going to do the second part of this post Friday afternoon. I’m so glad to be back to some of my typical posts! I miss you guys! I am also editing a video with a giveaway that should hopefully be done this weekend. It just depends on what we end up doing Saturday and Sunday. You guys have an awesome Friday!
Happy Trails!
