My Commitment to My Business and My Life #GR15

I have taken (almost) the last three days to listen to and watch the live stream from the Nerium Get Real 2015 conference in San Jose, CA. The ONLY reason why I am not there is because I am still on crutches, and it would be an absolute nightmare for myself and everyone around me. (I actually know this from personal experience. Trust me, I would be there if I could!) I have learned about SO many new things this company has in store for us and to bring to our customers. It. Is. Unreal. I’m not sure why God brought this opportunity into my life, but I never had plans for anything like this in the past. It has changed me. It has changed my outlook, my paradigm, my motivation, and my drive to grow as an entrepreneur. I’ve worked for a large corporate company now for over 16 years, and have never had this kind of experience because a lot of it is done for us. (I have no plans on stopping my career with them either, FTR. The beauty of this business is that I don’t have to! Eventually, I could “retire” if I get to NMD and beyond, but I love being in the medical field, so I don’t want to stop practicing!)

One thing I did not expect from getting involved with Nerium was the personal development opportunities that are now at my fingertips. With my Premier Success Pack starter kit, they included a Success Planner with CD’s to listen to. Let me be real with you guys right now. I started listening to one, and never listened again after the first 20 minutes. I did do most of the things in my new brand partner training, though. I learned how to do the business quickly, then I jumped right into it. I started spreading the word and sampling product with my friends and family right away. Now I have been successful so far, don’t get me wrong! However, I want to be more engaged and consistent in my business, and take advantage of the benefits that have been freely given to me.

I watched our two Gold Star International Marketing Directors, Mark and Tammy Smith talk about the 10 Core Commitments that are the cornerstone of success in this business. Jeff Olson came up with this concept, and he also wrote The Slight Edge. I have read….(I’m grabbing it right now to check what page I’m on)…..17 pages. I am committing to reading at LEAST 10 pages a day of The Slight Edge until I am done with it. What I have read so far has been awesome! Now I just need to put my nose to the grindstone.

The Slight Edge

Another really cool thing I want to share with you guys is my new planner! I got it from Plum Paper on Etsy. It’s the Family Planner, and it is customizable! So I have a planner for my little family, Ali and I :-). I was able to make my own categories, which include My Blog, My YouTube Channel, Nerium, Fitness, and Meals.

I am a huge planner, and am the most successful and organized when I write things down and plan my days out. That’s what I want to start doing more of! That’s another commitment I am going to make: planning my week and sticking to it! By planning and sticking to that plan, I am going to be able to spend more quality time building my business and making personal growth happen. I have kind of an ADHD tendency to start something, get distracted, get engaged in something else, then see something else, click on the link, read it, grab a snack, end up sucked into Facebook, have 10 different tabs open in my browser, and end up getting nothing done. Can anyone relate? Maybe EHT will help me with this ;-). I’m honestly really looking forward to finding that out!! Moving on…...

So my commitment to my business and my life is consistency, personal growth, and planning. I am going to put myself through the new Brand Partner training that we have now been given. I am going to read The Slight Edge cover to cover. I am going to do the 10 Core Commitments *consistently* and efficiently. I am going to take the time to plan out my week, follow through with those plans, and as a result, meet my goals. These things are part of a marathon, and not a sprint. I have learned over the past two years through all of my surgeries and setbacks that you have to have patience and persistence. You have to focus on small things, and do them consistently. This concept allows these things to be done in just a small amount of time everyday. ANYONE can do this! If you’re on my team, I am here for you and will walk this journey with you every step of the way. Another beautiful thing about this company is I get to help people get to where I am and be successful. It’s not just about my business, it’s about my team and their lives, families, and what they get to do with their time. If you’re not on my team, I hope you got something out of this post. If you take away just one tidbit from all of this, let it be that you should make a commitment to yourself. Continue to grow as a person. Don’t be complacent. Always set goals. Be consistent. Ok, so maybe not just one thing! But they all tie together into committing to yourself. It’s up to you to do this, YOU are the only person that can make yourself succeed or fail. Do something for YOU today!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’d be happy to answer any questions you have! Just comment below. I hope you guys all have an awesome rest of your weekend, and commit some time to YOU!

Happy Trails,

Stacey
