Ware Red Friday
Started my day off with a bowl of Multigrain Cheerios with almond milk and one of these for lunch:
I juiced apple, pineapple, lime, pear, kale, carrot and mint. It turned out really great! I also had strawberries and an artichoke. I am obsessed with crockpot artichokes right now. I dip them in a ranch dip made with light sour cream and ranch dressing powder. I am eager to find a healthier version of the ranch powder that doesn’t have MSG in it, though. I was thinking about checking Trader Joes or Sprouts. Any suggestions?
I went to PT and did hot yoga, then relaxed and did laundry for the rest of the day. My hamstrings are in pretty rough shape right now after the Rogue Runner run last Saturday. Currently, it hurts my right one just to walk. Don’t expect much speed out of me for the DF half coming up in three weeks. I may even have to run/walk it. If I wasn’t flying home and already registered for it, I wouldn’t be doing it. Even considering these circumstances, I am still excited for it, though! Just a little nervous….I may just end up getting my money’s worth from my entry fee on this one .
I whipped up some whole wheat egg noodles and chicken broth (thanks for making me think of this again, Mom!) with some sweet potato fries for supper.
I followed it with some more fresh juice for dessert:
I used the same ingredients for this as I did for my one I had earlier in the day. Then, Ali and I went to Yoasis to get some of this:
I ended up getting some of this for Ms. Ali:
I mean seriously….how cute is this! It reminds me of Frosty Paws, except probably yummier based on the looks of it. I’ll ask Ali….
She says “Yes Mom! It’s yummo!!! Now leave me alone and stop taking my picture. I’m busy!”
Ali got the memo:
It’s “Ware Red Day” in Louisville! So we decided to “Ware Red” here in Phx! Here’s me looking like complete ass after yoga with my Cards shirts on (I can’t believe I’m posting this on the internet):
I get the cutest stuff on sale every time I go to the airport!!
Anywhoo, I am drained from a great day, and am going to try to get up before work tomorrow and do something active. I’m not sure what yet, because it all depends on how I feel when I wake up.
I am almost finished reading the book “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn. It has turned out to be one of those books where you wanna keep reading just to see what the heck is going to happen! The story keeps taking turns and I just have to finish it! So that’s what I am going to try to do now, followed by some good sleep I hope.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! GO CARDS!!!!!
Happy Trails!
