Bringing It Home After 27 Years!
The Cards have done it again! Wowed us all with both the men’s and women’s basketball teams playing for the National Championship!! Tomorrow night, Louisville Men’s Basketball will take on Michigan in the big dance for the big prize! It has been 27 years since they brought it home, and I think its about time they did it again! Ali agrees, as you can see . They beat Duke in 1986 by a score of 72-69 under Denny Crum (their second national championship-first was in 1980.)
I just went to double check that the score I remembered was correct before I made an ass out of myself on here, and learned something really interesting! Thanks Wikipedia!
“The 1986 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament was the first tournament to use a shot clock limiting the amount of time for any one offensive possession by a team prior to taking a shot at the basket. Beginning with the 1986 tournament, the shot clock was set at 45 seconds, which it would remain until being shortened to 35 seconds beginning in the 1994 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.”
We learn something new everyday….
Is anyone having major allergy issues right now? I just spend about a solid five minutes sneezing my head off. I also had to take my contacts out because my eyes were bothering me so much. To top it off, my nose is sunburnt, so rubbing it hurts! Wah!
Random, I know. Anyway, so I just finished Gone Girl, which was given to me by my Mom for Christmas because she liked it. I really did like the book, and recommend it, but the ending was dumb. That’s all I’m going to say. Now I am going to resume reading Reflected In You by Sylvia Day. I loved Bared to You, so I hope this one picks up and ends up being as good.
I’ll blog more this week, but now I am going to bed. I have to save up some energy to make it through another game tomorrow, because:
Hopefully tomorrow won’t be as stressful as yesterday’s game. Either way, I know we can win, and I sure hope we do!!
GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Trails!
