Here's to a Kick Ass 2014!!
Life has been, to say the least, interesting during this past week or so. My apologies for my absence. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and a very Happy New Year!
If there is one thing life keeps teaching me over and over again, it's follow your gut instinct. Rarely has there been a time when mine hasn't led me in the right direction. Here's a good meme I found the other day-words to live by:
It is going to be a great year! I will get healthy. I will train smart. I will not settle. I will be a good friend. I will listen to my coach. I will love myself. I will set realistic goals. I will not be so hard on myself. I will be there for others. I will stay sober one day at a time, God willing. I will believe in myself.
First things first-surgery. As soon as my surgeon gets the prior authorization through my insurance, the first surgery will be scheduled. You guys will be among the first to know when that happens. Until then, I will continue to ride some very flat roads really slowly on my bike with my awesome friends.
Bowl season has been very good to me! My friend Lindsey hooked us all up with tickets to two games! The first one was the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl with Michigan and Kansas State. Lindsey, Lisa and I went together and had a blast! Before the bowl game that day, I got to watch Louisville basketball versus Kentucky, and Louisville football kick the crap out of Miami #bringontheacc!! The pre-football basketball game:

Finally, the actual game:
We had awesome seats, didn't we!? Thanks again Miss Lindsey!!
Between the two bowl games, Ali and I hung out with some new friends!
Meet Anissa and Samson! We met at the Phoenix Pug Meetup Group at Chaparral Park in Scottsdale. There were so many little snorty ones there!!

This cutie pie kept coming up to us and giving us love. We didn't even know her name or who she belonged to!
Ali prefers to be nude. Nudist.
Such a fun morning! I love pug meetups. Anywhere where there are massive amounts of pugs running free and happy makes me smile :-).
Then, on New Years Day, we headed to University of Phoenix Stadium for the a Fiesta Bowl! We tailgated for several hours before the game.
Kelly and I - Go UCF!! (Since it wasn't Louisville, I had to pull for them!! Plus, Kelly went there :-) )
I love my Lindsey!!
Damn ladies!
Logan the Grillmaster
Oh, it was all so yummy! Those are my sweet potato fries!
Falling over while trying to balance on my good leg haha! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
Always cool to see this!

Fun posing after the game
Such a fun, and long day! I was so glad to see my babycakes after I got home! Such a sweet little girl!
That's all for my last week's recap, guys. I hope your first full week of 2014 is a great one! Remember to love and be true to yourself always!
Happy Trails!
