Chocolate Berry Frozen Greek Yogurt Vitamix Smoothie
I've been turning to chocolate a lot lately, and wanted to try to make a smoothie that would properly satiate my craving. I made one and posted the recipe a couple of months ago, but this one is even better! It does have some Nutella in it, so it's not as low calorie as the previous one, but it is definitely worth it!
You can add either frozen strawberries or blueberries depending on your preference. You'll also need a frozen chunk of Greek yogurt. Here's how to make it:
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana split in half (makes blending easier)
3 large frozen strawberries or two handfuls of frozen blueberries
1 chunk frozen Greek yogurt
1-2 tbsp Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread
1-2 tbsp Hershey's Dark Chocolate powder
1/2-3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 date (pit removed)
1/2 tea vanilla extract (optional)
Throw it all in your Vitamix or Ninja (or any other super industrial powered blender) and blend on high for 30-45 seconds, and you're done! You could also add half of a scoop of protein powder if you need a boost. You'll get a decent amount of protein from the yogurt and Nutella (hazelnuts), though, so it's optional.
I hope you guys like it! It's one of my favorites right now!
Have a great rest of your week!
Happy Trails!
