Tropical Frozen Greek Yogurt Vitamix Smoothie

I have had some friends ask me if I would post more smoothie recipes that I've made with my Vitamix. The other night, I decided to try a tropical smoothie, and it turned out super yummy!! All you need is frozen tropical fruit of your choice, almond milk, dates, a chunk of frozen Greek yogurt, protein powder (optional) and ice! I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, because it has 1/3 of the calories of the sweetened version, and tastes wonderful! The dates are all you need to add some sweetness to the smoothie ;-). Keep reading to learn how you can make your own!


Ingredients:

1 cup frozen tropical fruit (I used pineapple, mango and peaches)

1/2 a frozen banana

3/4 cup frozen Greek yogurt

1 cup almond milk (more for thinner, less for thicker consistency)

2 dates

1/2 a scoop protein powder (optional)

4-6 ice cubes

It's as simple as putting everything in the Vitamix and blending for about 30-45 seconds on high, and there you have it!
