Cabo Day 1 - Flying By the Seat of My Pants
So I text Lisa on Saturday right before her and Sarah's flight leaves for Cabo, "Have so much fun! I'll miss you!" I get back "Thanks!! You should be going with us!" "OMG, really?" I think to myself while in my head, I'm laughing at the thought of how much a ticket would cost so last minute. I told her I'd look at flights for shits and giggles, but I expected a lot of giggles, haha! She then responded with "Sarah says come on down and join us!" How can I say no!? To my surprise, I found a very reasonable ticket that got me to Cabo Monday and has me coming back Thursday with the girls. So how's that for spontaneous? I made my early meeting this morning, and will be back in time for the weekend. Becca and Anthony are watching Tater for me, so I know she's in great hands! Time to relax in paradise!
I was fortunate enough to catch a ride with the guy that drives the cart from security to the gates. Thank God, because my gate was C17, which is all the way at the end of the concourse. I tipped him $5, but would've paid even more if I had to! Every time I tell people that I had three hip surgeries (like the cart guy so he didn't think I'm just lazy) I get the same response: "at such a young age??" I know, I know. I'm just grateful to have had the means to get the problems corrected (hopefully.)
The funniest text I had today was LaRissa, my PT. I told her I was going to Cabo today and that I needed to reschedule my Tuesday appointment for next week, and she sends back "are you going with a boy!!??" No LaRissa. As much as I wish I was, I'm going with one of my besties! No boys allowed! ;-)
As I'm sitting at Coffee Cartel having a coffee and eating the rest of my strawberries and grapes for breakfast, Lisa posts this pic on my timeline with the caption "hurry up and get here the beach is calling!"
I also went to Grand Central Clothing yesterday on a whim to check out what they had as far as dresses go. I ended up with three dresses, a romper, a maxi skirt, and a black crop top. That place is so reasonable and has some of the cutest, most unique stuff! I'll be sure to take lots of pics to show you guys :-).

(On plane from Orange County---->Cabo now!!) I took this pic at the airport and sent it to sister Steph with the caption "So close yet so far...."
And she was like "wtf, you're here!? I'm confused lol." I reassured her that I would not be crashing her pad for the fourth time since Feb!
John Wayne airport is my favorite airport, because:
See? I'm not that high maintenance. Feed me FroYo and candy, and I'm a happy girl! Especially watermelon saltwater taffy.
(In Cabo now.) I got to Cabo safe and sound, but unfortunately, my luggage did not. It is expected to be delivered Tuesday. I managed to find a bikini at a little shop by where we had dinner, so at least I'm good for the day tomorrow.
We had dinner at Mariscos Mocambo, and I had crab enchiladas:
Luckily for me, we found a bike cab to take us everywhere. We had so much fun!
After dinner, we got gelato. I had chocolate chip cookie dough and Nutella flavored, and it was awesome!
We also stopped by a pharmacy on the way back to get some sunscreen and snacks:
Heeeeeeeey get your amoxicillin!
Then we went back to the hotel. It's so nice! We're staying at the Hilton Los Cabos. I can't wait to show you guys pics of the pool and beach tomorrow! Stay tuned for day 2 :-).
Happy Trails!
