Late Summer LookBook

Since going back to work, I’ve been able to rock some of my new professional clothes I got while I was on leave. It sounds crazy to say, considering some of you are probably the exact opposite, that I really missed wearing work clothes and feeling polished and professional! Being the girly girl that I am, I’m very much into fashion as well as makeup and beauty. I’ve made an effort to take pictures of work and going out outfits for the past month or so so I could post a LookBook for you guys! I was thinking about doing a monthly professional one with some bonus going out or casual looks for good measure :-). Would you guys like that? Let me know in the comments below.

I’ve learned over the years that you don’t have to break the bank to have a cute, trendy wardrobe. You’ll see what I mean when I tell you where I got my outfits. I’ll do my best to try and remember all of the places, but forgive me if I've forgotten. Some stuff I bought a long time ago, and just hadn’t had a chance to wear yet. Let’s get to the pics!

I posted this picture on Instagram a few weeks ago. The cardigan and skirt are from Kohls, and the shoes are from Nordstrom. I was so proud that I wore heels for 5 hours at work!

I got this grey dress with lace detail at Kohls, as well. I absolutely fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! It is by Elle. The shoes are from Payless!

The shirt is from Kohls, and the pants from Target (Mossimo.) I believe I got the shoes from Ross last year. Nude heels are an absolute must-have. They go with so many things, and are always a win when they’re worn the right way. The necklace is from Kohls. Check it out up close:

When wearing such a statement piece, it is best to make the rest of your outfit a good background, and not too busy with patterns or detail. Less is more.

This dress is another great example of style on a budget. It is Calvin Klein from Ross, and I paid $39.99 for it. The shoes are Tory Burch. NOT a budget item. There are always some exceptions to the rules: Tory Burch, Lululemon, Coach……I mean let’s be real.

My going out dress this month is this pink strapless number from NastyGal. My friend from high school, Larra, had it on in a pic, and I had to have it! She found and sent me the link to it, and it was on clearance for $21!! Would you have ever guessed that?? The shoes are from Aldo, and were between $60-70 I think.

Necklace is from JCPenney, and purse is JLo from Kohls. I have actually found some cute stuff from JCP lately. There is a freestanding one by my house that has a Sephora in it, so of course that’s originally why I went :-). I noticed some cute stuff on my way out one day, so I did some perusing and was impressed! Great prices, too!

That’s it for this month. Thanks so much for stopping by, and leave me a comment below if you’d like to see more posts like this.

Happy Trails!

Stacey
