Video and Recipe: GF Everything But the Kitchen Sink Turkey Burgers

The more I make these burgers, the better they get! I've made them so many different ways! You can literally just go through your fridge and use whatever fresh produce you have, chop it up, and throw it in the bowl. This time, I had red, yellow and green bell peppers, a jalapeño, an onion, and a portobello mushroom. I also had some fresh herbs, but you can use dry ones, too! Check out the video to see how to make them, and the recipe to give you an idea of the items you can use :-).

What you can use:

One or two 1.25lb packages of lean 93/7 ground turkey

1/2-3/4 each red, yellow and green bell pepper chopped

1/2 -1 sweet yellow onion chopped

1 chopped portobello mushroom

1 chopped jalapeño (with seeds if you like a kick)

2-3 TBSP flaxseed meal

1/8 cup garbanzo bean flour (oat, brown rice, or all-purpose GF work as well)

2 eggs or 1 egg + 2 egg whites

1 TBSP spicy mustard

1-2 tea smoke sauce

1-2 tea sriracha

15 drops Tabasco (I used habanero Tabasco)

1 tea minced garlic

Fresh or dried oregano, thyme, and rosemary, plus salt and pepper to taste

Some other fun things I have used are barbecue sauce, lowfat cheese cubes throughout the mix, and other herbs like parsley and cilantro if I have them on hand. Like I said, make these with whatever you have on hand or your heart desires! This is more of a method than a recipe.

I hope you guys have an awesome weekend, and I'll be back soon with a makeup tutorial!

Happy Trails,

Stacey
