The 12 Days of Blogmas Day 6: Cranberry Eyes for the Holidays
I’ve worn cranberry/burgundy shadows on my eyes a couple of times so far this Holiday Season. I absolutely LOVE these colors!! They really look great on any eye color, in my opinion. You can go with a pop of color in the outer V or on the lower lash line, or you can just go for it and do a full top and bottom cranberry look like I did below:
I follow a LOT of makeup artists and bloggers/YouTubers on Instagram. I’ve been seeing looks that feature one color family all the way around the eye quite a bit lately. It is so beautiful!! The colors are smoked out to the point where it almost looks like a "glow" of whatever color they used. Here is a better picture that shows top and bottom:
You can do this with any color you want! If you’re not used to bold eye looks with a lot of color, do a neutral lid and smudge a brighter color along the lower lash line. This is an awesome way to start incorporating more color into your everyday looks. Throw on a pair of false lashes, and you’ve got yourself looking like a professional did your makeup ;-).
I did a similar look in the video tutorial below, except with some shimmer on the lid, and a more subtle smoked out color on the lower. This video has been through it! I accidentally deleted all of the clips from it right after I finished editing it, and then managed to restore my computer with the most recent backup from TimeMachine. Thank you SO much to Lance from Apple for the help yesterday! I may have complained about my computer, and I am still frustrated, but their support department is fantastic!! So I hope you guys enjoy this! I had a lot of fun making it! Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below. I love hearing from you! (I just realized that I used the wrong pictures for the thumbnail, so I changed it on YouTube. It isn't showing the change on here, though. My apologies! I was confused with the tutorial I just filmed haha!)
Have an awesome weekend!
Happy Trails,
Stacey
