Relaxing Weekend and Hamstring Update
I didn’t do much of anything this weekend besides stay off of my feet, and eat gluten free ham and pineapple pizza from Dominos. This might be my new vice!
I get it with light cheese so it’s more figure friendly. Ham isn’t too fattening, and pineapple is in the fruit and veggie food group, right?? It could be worse!! I’ve been lazy this weekend, and haven’t really felt like cooking, so this has been a great option. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the gluten free crust is, too!
I went to dinner the other night and brought home a huge short rib bone for Ali to eat. I video taped her eating it when I first gave it to her, because I knew she would get the Mohawk and growl at me if I got too close. It was hilarious!! I tried to upload it to You Tube, but it didn’t work. If I figure out a way to get it uploaded, I will post it on here. She’s so cute, but becomes a crazy Mohawk dog if you try to mess with her bone!!
I had my carpet cleaned this week, and as a result, got the itch to actually throw a bunch of stuff away and clean my apartment! I was going to throw this old blanket away, but someone decided to claim it hers:
She is SO good at stealing other people’s (i.e.: Stacey’s) blankets! A little part of it will fall off of the bed, and she’ll lay on it until she manages to get it all to fall off, then it turns into hers! Now this blanket is on her bed. It’s hers now, lol!
As far as my hamstrings go, they are still improving, but it is so very VERY slow. I’m still up to about 35-40 minutes of standing before I start to hurt. PT is getting ramped up, as well, with harder exercises that are focusing on strengthening the glutes, hips, and abs. My right hamstring still frequently feels like it is hanging by a thread, even though I know it is gradually improving.
That’s about all of the news I have right now. I swam twice last week, and plan on continuing the swimming as much as I can stand it. I just get bored….Do they make wireless, waterproof headphones?? I need some of those to make the swimming less painful. Maybe I’ll do some research on those this week.
I hope everyone has a great week, and I’ll talk to you soon!!
Happy Trails!
Stacey
