Cabo Day 3 - When It Rains It Pours and Then Some
I'm going to make this post really fast and short. The third day, I woke up with a stomach bug. It didn't get better, so I went back to the room around 2pm and slept on and off for the rest of the day. I skipped going to downtown Cabo for dinner at Edith's, but I would've been miserable. Lisa and Sarah brought me soup, crackers, and Gatorade from the deli which totally hit the spot!
After I ate dinner, I went back to sleep and woke up around 11am on day 4. I had to be at the airport for a 4:10pm fight. When I got to Orange County, I found out my two hour layover had an hour delay tacked onto it. I almost missed my flight in Cabo waiting for the wheelchair person. They never showed up, so I decided to walk toward the gate slowly, and they started paging my name. So I'm freaking out because I couldn't run to the gate! I got to the gate and told them the situation, and they sent me on down, then had to walk all the way across the tarmack already in pain. The guy makes me walk all the way down to an imaginary line, and then turn left to get on the plane. Seriously!? By this time, I'm in tears. I finally broke down after all of the bullshit that happened. I held off for a long time. I'm proud of myself!
Luckily, I got amazing treatment at OC and Phx airports. It's insane, and kind of embarrassing to be pushed around in a wheelchair, but it helped so so so much!
I drove home, got there safely, and stayed home all day Friday so as to try and minimize anymore unfortunate happenings :-). I'm pretty sure the only trips I'll be making out this weekend will be to the grocery and to get FroYo.
So this little princess and I will be holding down the fort, and having a 24/7 Orange Is the New Black marathon. #totallyaddicted
Have a great weekend and I'll be back soon!
Happy Trails!
