Back and Feeling Better
I was so relieved to get home after my trip to Cabo. Not that I'm superstitious or anything, but I didn't leave my house on Friday the 13th!
It was so nice to sleep in my own bed with Ali close by. I'm grateful for everything I have in life, and that the only things lost were material possessions. Thank you to a good friend for reminding me of that (you know who you are :-).) I opened claims with TSA and AirTran with hopes that one or the other will compensate me for my loss, since I have no idea who was at fault. I can assume there were many opportunities for the bag to have been accessed, so I'll leave it in the hands of the powers that be to decide. In the meantime, I had to replace this gem:
I was surprised when I thought about it and realized I didn't have a good gunmetal colored base. The orange will look great under colors like MAC Expensive Pink (which I have to buy again) and other coral and orange colors.
I got a new bronzer to replace my Nars Laguna that was in my Guy Bourdain blush palette. This isn't an exact dupe, but it'll do for now. Plus, it was about 1/5 of the price of Laguna.
Jordana's eyeliners were buy one get one 50% off, and they're already only around $3 a piece!
When I got home from Walgreens, I had some exciting things waiting for me in my mailbox!! I ordered They're Real mascara by Benefit from Birchbox to replace the one I had previously. I got a full-sized one, a miniature one for my purse, and another smaller tube for free for spending over $25!
Best. Mascara. Ever.
I received this in the mail the other day, and I'm really looking forward to trying it! It's the Benefit They're Real push-up liner. It is designed to nudge right up against your lashes and give a nice clean line that stays all day. I can say that I did a swatch on my hand about three hours ago, and it's still there and not budging when I rub it with my finger. I'll let you guys know how I end up liking it.
I watched a You tube video last night, and absolutely fell in love with this look! I believe she used the Lorac Pro Palette. I'm considering getting this one sometime in the future instead of replacing my Naked 1. What do you guys think of this? Do you have it? How do you like it? Do you recommend any other palettes that you're in love with over the Lorac Pro?
Last but not least for today, here is Ali helping me unpack my bikinis. What would I do without her help!?
I hope you guys have a great rest of your week! Soon, I hope to do some posts on my June Birchbox and Taste Guru gluten free box, and an update on how PT is going and the progress I am making. I'll talk to you guys soon!
Happy Trails!
