June Birchbox Opening
Hi guys! This is a post that I said I would do since I know a few of you have been debating on which beauty box to subscribe to. I get the Birchbox once monthly, and will also be trying the Ipsy bag starting in July.
These monthly packages are so much fun to open! You never know what you're going to get. I pay $10 a month for Birchbox, and got a $20 Stila Smudgestick eyeliner one month. Sometimes the boxes pay for themselves! They make checking your mailbox that much more fun!
Each Birchbox typically looks like this:
It comes with a card showing this month's theme on the front, and a description of each item with the cost of the full size version on the back:
So far so good! It looks like there's some body wash, a lip product, and some more stuff in the little box.

I haven't used everything yet, but I'll give you feedback on what I can. The body wash above smells really good, but it's nothing special. I'm not sure I'd purchase a full size of tbt.
This lip color looks pretty as a swatch, but may actually be too light and matte looking for me. I need to try it when I am actually doing a full face of makeup. It may need a gloss on top. Not a bad product, though!
It's really hard for me to know if an anti-wrinkle product works, because I use them for prevention at this point in my life. I do like the consistency of this, though, because it is thin, but not so thin that it drips everywhere. It soaks in really quickly and doesn't leave an oily residue. I just apply it underneath my eyes.
This perfume smells incredible! I'm not the best at describing smells, but it's a little spicier and warmer, but not as much as Burberry Brit or Armani Mania. It's not super floral or super sweet. You just have to smell it.
This lotion smells nice, but again, is nothing special. I like having lotion by my bed, because if my hands are dry at night, they bother me.
All in all, this wasn't the best month for BB. A few of the products were good, but again, nothing special on the rest. This isn't always the case. I'll do this blog post every month for both BB and Ipsy bag so you can get an idea of what you'd be getting and make an informed decision.
